ANNOUNCEMENTS
THE NEW PARKING LOT: We want to thank your for your patience these last few weeks as the parking lot was repaved and restriped. In addition to the beautiful new parking lot, work was done to help mitigate the amount of excess water that has caused so much trouble for our facility during heavy rains. Two “French drains” were constructed to help divert this excess water... one on the north side of the sanctuary and one on the east side of the parking lot. We want to thank Tracy Falduti, supervisor of Eagle Paving, for the outstanding results. Eagle Paving can be reached at (909) 356-0001. In addition, we want to thank all of you who have been contributing to the “Building Blocks Fund.” Your sacrifice has made a huge difference in the stewardship of our church. - Gary Stemple and Davis Gregg, Stewardship & Properties Committee
HELP FOR CCSA: Community Christian Service Agency helps people with emergency needs and now we have an easy way to help them. If you ever eat at IHOP on Balboa Avenue, please save your receipt and give it to Polly Brown. She will pass it on to CCSA so that they may receive a 10% donation from the restaurant for each receipt they turn in.
CHURCH LIBRARY: We have a room full of Christian books and videos for all ages in our church library, located in Room 103 across the patio from the sanctuary. The library is open until 10:30 on Sunday mornings and can be opened anytime during church office hours throughout the week. There is no limit to how long you can keep them. Instructions are on the brightly colored boxes on the desk.
SIMPLE WAYS TO HELP THE YOUTH MINISTRY: There are two very easy ways you can help out the youth ministry...and they involve things you already do - shopping and eating/drinking! eScrip - This is a program where merchants reward us for your shopping. By registering your Vons Club card, debit card and/or credit card, we get a percentage of what you spend each time you use it. To register your card(s): 1. Go to www.escrip.com; 2. Click on "sign up"; 3. Follow the instructions
It's easy and it's free! Recycling - We are continuing our recycling program. Please bring your aluminum cans and plastic or glass bottles to the blue recycling bin at the back kitchen door (closest to the east side of the parking lot). Items must have a CRV label on them. While we applaud your efforts to recycle your plastic tubs and food containers, we don't receive money for those so you can keep them for your curbside recycling.
FROM HOLMES ELEMENTARY: “Thank you so much for all of the wonderful office/school supplies that you gathered and donated to Holmes Elementary School last week. During these times of budget crisis, we appreciate the donation. Everything will be used to benefit the students at Holmes Elementary School” – Evvalenora Cross, Principal
