A little background on Dane:

My journey with Christ began at young age. I was privileged to grow up in a Christian home with parents who saw discipling their children as priority number one. I grew up at First Covenant Church in Rockford IL and participated in everything I could as a child and a teenager. It was through these experiences, the love of teachers and youth leaders that my foundation in Christ was established. My call to ministry came first during high school. It started through involvement in student leadership and getting the opportunity to serve at a young age. My call to ministry was furthered as I went to college and worked within the drama, small group, and outreach ministries at North Park University. I met my wife Julia in the summer of 1999 and we were married on January 6, 2001. After college I was the youth director for two churches as I continued in education. These experiences fueled my desire communicate the love of Christ to all people and to journey beside them as they grow in Christ.
           While serving in youth ministry my wife and I always found ourselves involved in leading worship. Through the guidance and affirmation of friends and pastors we felt called to pursue our passions in the Worship Arts. Soon after these conversatons I was given the opportunity to attend The Worship Center at Covenant Bible College in 2003. During this year God taught me not only about leading worship but also about what it means to be a 'disciple who disciples others'.
            After our time at the worship center my wife and I served in Burlington WA where we helped start a Covenant Church plan. From there we accepted the call to serve here in sunny San Diego at Clairemont Covenant as the Worship Leader/Adult Discipleship Coordinator. We can’t get enough of the sun and the moderate temperatures! My passion in life is to help people to deepen thier relationship with God through corperate worship and small groups. Currently I am slowly working my way through my Masters of Divinity Degree at North Park Theological Seminary. I  love to ride and work on road bicycles and play with my sons Ethan and Connor. In September we will have the joy of welcoming baby boy # 3 in our family! God is filing our house with tons of energy.
