What Child Is This?
The word “Advent” means “coming” or “arrival.” The custom of lighting candles each week of Advent is symbolic of Jesus as the Light of the World. With each successive week, an additional candle is lit, culminating on Christmas Eve, when the full brightness of all the candles reminds us that Jesus has come! The wreath represents God himself, his eternity and endless mercy, with no beginning or end. Advent is a spiritual journey where believers an affirm that Christ has come, that He is present in the world today, and that He will come again in power.
This series is based on the classic Christmas Carol of the same name, looking at the many characters present in the Christmas Story story told in the Bible.  Each one came into contact with baby Jesus through miraculous means and had to seek an answer to the question – who is this child?  We too have to come to a place where we answer that question for ourselves.  What we conclude will make all the difference!
