Our youth ministry desires to help students become disciples of Jesus who, in turn, make a difference in their world.
The Landing
“The Landing” is a great description for our youth ministry. It represents a place where people can come to relax, refresh and renew in preparation for heading back ‘out to sea’. In the gospel of Matthew, Jesus says these words: “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” At the conclusion of the book of Matthew, Jesus says: “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.“ We come in for refreshment and then go back out to live into what God has called us to.
Youth Group: The Fall Experiment
We are going to be trying something new this Fall! When the schools shifted to a later release time for high schools it made it increasingly difficult for our students involved in any extra curricular activities to make it to youth group on Wednesday Nights. So for Fall 2025 we are going to shift our High School youth group to Sunday nights, 6:30-8pm. It will be a whole new vibe and our prayer is that it will make it accessible to more students!
BUT…we don’t want our students to miss out on our annual “Color Wars” so we’ll be having Middle & High School together on Wednesday, August 27th for the epic battle. Then the first night of High School Sunday Nights will be Sunday, September 7th at church. MARK YOUR CALENDARS!
